What is an RFID Reader?
An RFID reader is a card reader with which you can read out data on a transponder or describe it with data. The communication between transmitter and receiver takes place via electromagnetic waves, that is contactless over the air.RFID readers are often used for communication with RFID smart cards. The medium in which the RFID chip is located is irrelevant in principle. So you can use an RFID card reader not only RFID cards, but also read RFID bracelets, labels, tags or keyfobs.
We offer card readers for the frequency ranges 125/134 kHz (LF) and 13.56 MHz (LF). These card readers are also referred to as low frequency RFID readers and high frequency readers.
What is a Chip Card Reader?
The chip card reader is suitable for communication with a contact chip. In this case, there must always be physical contact between the reader and the chip. Our chip card readers are suitable for reading contact-type chip cards of all kinds. The card readers are usually connected via USB port to the computer and are Plug & Play capable.
