The rf IDEAS WAVE ID Plus is a dual frequency programmable card reader that offers the advantages of reading contactless and contactless smart cards in one reader. With this reader, users can use their employee badges, 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz tags or labels, for other forms of secure authentication and identification throughout the workplace.
With flash memory and support for almost all card types, the WAVE ID Plus allows users to quickly configure the reader output.
The multi-technology reader provides flexibility for any customer struggling with different card technologies. It is ideal for registering in third-party software, or for single sign-on integrators. One of the most robust readers currently available, the WAVE ID Plus comes standard with four* card configurations (two are preset; two are user-definable), allowing an IT or security department to easily integrate additional card types. The user-adjustable beeper volume also allows you to turn the volume down or off for quiet zones, or turn up the loud volume in noisy work environments.
In certain industries, such as manufacturing, where machines or other factors cause interference, the 13.56MHz auto-tuning antenna ensures the best energy transfer between the card and the reader to optimize the reading range despite interference. As an SDK (or 82 Series) model, the reader can be integrated into most software or hardware environments using the RF IDeas Universal Software Developer Kit (SDK). Unlike the Enroll readers, the SDK readers use a callable DLL or other direct integration methods instead of keystrokes (emulating a keyboard device). These readers deliver the card ID in a format recognizable by applications and offer almost limitless possibilities for user identification and authentication.
With the latest pcProx Configuration Utility, the WAVE ID Plus Reader can also work as a card analyzer. A handy tool for partners, resellers and integrators, the software-based functionality provides quick and easy card technology discovery to determine compatible readers, analyze credential data such as ID, FAC or bits.
