What are Contact Smart Cards?
A contact smart card is a plastic card with chip technology that can only be read by direct physical contact with a card reader.Smart cards can be equipped with either a simple memory or a processor.
Processor smart cards are also known as smart cards. They have their own operating system and cryptographic features.
In addition to contact-based chip cards, there are also contactless cards (RFID cards) and combinations of both technologies.
