Matica XID8600 Dual ID Card Printer
The Matica XID8600 dual retransfer printer is the high-end model of the Matica 8xxx series and comes standard with a card flipping station. With its very high resolution of 600dpi, it is ideally suited for printing passports with high security requirements. To avoid the effect of curved cards, it is recommended to upgrade the XID8600 printer with the Bend Remedy Station option.
The print result of the 600dpi printer is very close to an offset print result. The XID 8600 prints crisp, small font sizes (micro-writing) of up to 1.3pt. Electronic fine line printing and even sophisticated graphics can be easily printed on the plastic card. This significantly increases the security of ID cards.
As with all other series, the XID8600 can be flexibly retrofitted, such as with a smart card encoder (for contactless and contact chips) or a magnetic stripe encoder.
Optionally, the ILM-LS or ILM-DS lamination module can be used to give your cards additional surface protection to increase their safety or to protect against abrasion. The XID8600 has standard security features, such as a Kensington® electronic lock, and IPsec data encryption.
