*The two smart card encoder modules available for the HDP5000 are multifunctional: The OMNIKEY 5121 encodes contact smart cards, and contactless HID iCLASS and MIFARE cards; the OMNIKEY 5125 encodes contact smart cards and contactless HID Prox cards (read-only). HID suggests ordering the OMNIKEY 5121 if the application only requires contact smart card encoding.
