The Evolis Primacy 2 Simplex Expert card printer is a single-sided, fast card printer that meets the latest requirements.
Primacy 2 integrates sublimation technology for the creation of colored plastic cards and thermal transfer printing for monochrome cards. In addition, you can use the Primacy 2 to print on rewritable cards - thanks to thermal rewrite technology. This feature, standard on the Primacy 2, allows you to print, erase and reprint a card up to 500 times in just a few seconds.
This inexpensive and practical use is particularly relevant for issuing cards and ID cards that are temporary or that need to be updated regularly.
The printing speed of up to 280 cards per hour combined with the 100 or 200 card magazine are the two main advantages of the Primacy 2. They allow it a high level of productivity and autonomy. At the same time, the high-resolution print mode in conjunction with the color profile, which comes very close to the actual colors, ensures excellent display on all cards.
Thanks to its modular design, the Primacy 2 ID card printer can be expanded at any time with additional modules such as a double-sided printing module, 200-card magazine, encoder or laminating module.
Encoder (optional): Using different encoders, contact-based and contactless chips as well as magnetic strips can be encoded.
UV effect: Using the special YMCKOO ribbon or via the overlay layer of the standard ribbons in conjunction with the laminating module, you can add a UV effect to your cards to give them a higher level of security.
Double Overlay Layer: A double overlay layer means optimized durability for your printed cards. This double layer of lacquer offers increased protection against wear and tear. Abrasion resistance is three times the protection of a standard YMCKO tape.
Lamination Module (optional): The lamination module, which can be ordered with your Primacy 2 or added as needed, allows the integration of advanced security and protection elements (varnish, patches, generic or bespoke holograms). The laminating module is the essential equipment to achieve optimal levels of security and durability.
Scanner (optional): To control the printed cards, you can use the scanner to check whether the elements on your cards have been printed correctly and record the printing process.
Kineclipse (optional): Confidential information on the tape is rendered unreadable after printing.
Digital Erase: Confidential data sent to the printer is erased from memory.
