YMCK ribbons are ribbons for full-color printing in which the color components yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C) and black (K) are lined up.
The full spectrum of colors is printed onto the card using thermal sublimation from the three colors lined up next to each other. The black zone (K) is intended for the defined printing of text or barcodes using transfer printing. Multicolored graphics, logos, photos and texts can be printed on plastic cards using this printing technique.
