The CMYK-K ribbon is used for full color printing on the front (CMYK) and monochrome black printing on the back. The color components yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), black (K) and the back side black (K) are lined up on the ribbon. The back of the plastic card can be personalized with the second black zone.
The full spectrum of colors is printed onto the card using thermal sublimation from the three colors lined up next to each other. The black zones (K) are intended for the defined printing of text or barcodes using transfer printing. Multicolored graphics, logos, photos and texts can be printed on the front of the plastic cards using this printing technique.
