The WAVE ID Solo card readers were developed for customers who want to use their existing card systems for applications that go beyond access control. The rf IDEAS WAVE ID Solo Reader is used for identification, authentication and access control applications.

The read-only readers are designed for use with almost all contactless smart card technologies. The 13.56MHz model is compatible with most contactless smart cards and the 125kHz proximity model provides error-free identification of over 300 million physical access cards used worldwide.

Plug and play functionality and seamless integration

By connecting directly to a USB port, the keystroke reader WAVE ID Solo emulates a keyboard and outputs the card data at the position of the cursor on the screen. The reader can be configured to add keystrokes before and after the card data.

The WAVE ID Solo reader can be easily integrated into existing credential systems. The WAVE ID Solo reader supports the ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 standards for access control, secure printing, time attendance and cashless payment. This reader is also available with a serial or virtual USB COM interface and supplies the card data in ASCII.

Developer-friendly SDK

Integrate the reader into your software or hardware product using the rf IDEAS Universal Software Developer’s Kit (SDK). Unlike the keystroke model, the SDK, or non-keystroking reader, passes the raw card data and offers nearly limitless user identification and authentication capabilities.
