Entrust Sigma DS3 600 dpi Duplex Card Printer

The Entrust Sigma DS3 600 dpi is the first dye-sublimation card printer on the market to offer a resolution of 600 dpi. The 600 dpi card printer variant is designed to meet the highest print quality requirements, enabling fine linen, microtext, and brilliant colors.

This printer allows you to print your cards in color or monochrome. Choose between the model for single-sided (simplex) or double-sided (duplex) printing. The Sigma DS3 also features a thermo-rewrite function that enables multiple printings on rewritable cards.

Additionally, the DS3, as the largest model in the Sigma series, can be optionally equipped with a laminator.

Focus on Security Features

Entrust positions itself strongly in the market with a focus on security features. The Entrust Sigma DS3 is equipped with a special boot function that protects the system from malware or viruses during startup.

Furthermore, the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) manages printer-specific TLS/SSL certificates and keys. Both the connection and the data transmitted between software and printer are encrypted. Customer data is encrypted and not stored on the printer after printing. Gloss printing and other security features on the cards help prevent tampering and forgery.

Special Ribbon for Cost-Effective Hologram Effect

Another feature contributing significantly to the security of produced cards is the use of a special gloss ribbon, specifically designed by Entrust for the Sigma family. With the fluorescent special printing ribbon, you can add additional security effects to your cards in the form of a watermark. A special ribbon panel creates a color-shifting, translucent effect visible under UV light. This security feature would otherwise only be possible on other printers with the costly application of a hologram combined with a separate laminator.

The Sigma DS3 ID card printer comes standard with USB and Ethernet interfaces. Additionally, it can be equipped with a WiFi module, allowing printing from mobile devices (Windows, iOS, and Android).

With the innovative patented printhead protector function, the printhead is protected during ribbon changes or printer maintenance, thus extending its lifespan. A variable LED light ring on the housing lets you customize the printer's design by choosing your preferred color.
